Our NPI Process
- Intake — CAD/Gerbers, BOM, pick-place, fab notes, test intent
- DFM/DFX — feedback on land patterns, fiducials, panelization, risk
- BOM Scrub — alternates, lifecycle, lead times, AVL alignment
- Program — stencil spec, placement, AOI/SPI, reflow profiles
- Build & FAI — first article, ECO
- Pilot Run — lock process, documentation, readiness for ramp
Turnaround Options*
| Tier | Typical Lead | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expedite | ~24–72 hours | Small qty, readily available parts | Requires clean data pack & confirmed materials |
| Standard | ~5 business days | Typical proto builds | Includes DFM feedback loop |
| Pilot | ~10+ business days | Process lock & pre-production | Adds traveler, test, and documentation pack |
*Actual lead times depend on materials, stencil/fab readiness, and complexity.
Quality & Documentation
- Workmanship to appropriate IPC class
- FAI reports & reflow/SPC data on request
- AOI/SPI inspection plans for proto & pilot
- Traveler & revision control
- ECO logging and sign-off routing
- Lot-level materials traceability (as scoped)
Who We Build For
Startups and OEMs across commercial, industrial, and specialty markets:
Equipment Highlights
Pick & Place
High-precision SMT placement suitable for fine-pitch and small passives (01005–1206).
Inspection
3D SPI and AOI coverage on prototype and pilot builds with targeted inspection plans.
Through Hole & Selective
Selective solder and manual insertion for low-volume prototypes and mixed-tech assemblies.
DFM Quick Checklist
- Complete CAD/Gerber set + readme/fab notes
- Panelization or single-up with fiducials
- Pick-place (XY/rotation) aligned to CAD
- Solder paste stencil spec (thickness/apertures)
- BOM with MPNs, alternates & any AVL rules
- Polarity & orientation drawings for all ICs/LEDs
- Test intent: power-up, ICT/functional (if any)
- Special processes (underfill, coat, torque)
Prototype & NPI FAQs
What files do you need to quote and build?
Gerbers/CAD, BOM with MPNs and alternates, pick-place, readme/fab notes, and any test intent. Drawings for polarity/orientation help reduce NPI cycles.
Can you source components?
Yes. We can scrub your BOM, propose alternates, and source materials per your AVL or cost/lead-time targets.
Do you offer conformal coating or potting?
Available on select projects; we’ll align process, mask sets, and cure windows during NPI.
Can you support pilot runs and ramp?
Yes. We lock process parameters, finalize the traveler, and prepare documentation for repeatable production.
Ready to Build?
Kick off your build with a clean, actionable DFM pass—no fluff. We’ll validate manufacturability, flag risk parts, propose alternates, and outline a path from first article to pilot, including traveler, inspection plans, and documentation. Need confidentiality? We’re happy to sign a mutual NDA.
What to include: CAD/Gerbers (ZIP), BOM with MPNs & alternates, pick-and-place, assembly notes/drawings, and any test intent. Large files welcome—request a secure upload link if needed.
